Mesut Ozil says the Arsenal squad are prepared for a battle in the FA Cup final.
The 26-year-old won the competition in his first season with the club, and has also lifted domestic trophies in Germany and Spain.
Arsène Wenger’s side have won all nine FA Cup matches Ozil has played, and the German international learned a lot from last season’s final against Hull City.
"I’m looking forward to this year's match. Everyone watches these games and we know that we have to bring our [best] performance on the day"
“I took positives from it,” he told Arsenal Player. “We were two goals down and I remember how, as a team, we reacted to that - we made it 2-1 quickly before half-time and were always in the game.
“We fought until the last minute and were desperate to win. You could sense that and in the end we were rewarded because we battled and deservedly won.
“I’m looking forward to this year's match. Everyone watches these games and we know that we have to bring our [best] performance on the day.
"We’ve prepared very well this week and when you look at our performance in the last game [against West Bromwich Albion], if we can replicate that, we’ll win the game.
“Our opponents will do all they can to win but we’re Arsenal and we’re convinced of our own ability. If we play to our potential, we’ll win the trophy for the second year in a row.”
