I just regret that it took them so much time to realise that it is impossible to play in the summer. It makes sense. If you want people to survive there at the games, it is the only way to do it in a decent way, in a comfortable way for the supporters. I think about the players, you don’t worry. For the supporters, it is the only way. It is the right decision.
on whether Uefa could have fought for a different date...
At the moment they have chosen Qatar for the 2022 World Cup. You knew that everybody would have to adapt to that decision and that it would be impossible to play in the summer. After that everybody will have to reorganise their fixtures and their season. That will not be easy - I’m not a specialist of fixture organisations but I’m conscious that it will be in the middle of the season, especially for the Premier League.

I worry about every single player in my squad and I want every single player to be happy but at the end of the day only 11 players can start the game. That’s the same for every single player. We have competition for places and that’s part of our job. I don’t think that’s a special worry.
