Joel Campbell was a 67th-minute substitute in Villarreal’s 2-1 win against Salzburg. Ikechukwu Uche opened the scoring before Jonatan Soriano equalised from the penalty spot, but Denis Cheryshev was on target to give the Spanish side a one-goal advantage going into the second leg.

Celtic 3-3 Inter Milan
Lukas Podolski did not feature in Inter Milan’s 3-3 draw at Celtic. Xherdan Shaqiri and Rodrigo Palacio gave the Italian side a two-goal lead but Stuart Armstrong and a Hugo Campagnara own goal drew Celtic level. Palacio then scored a second on the stroke of half-time but John Guidetti equalised in the third minute of stoppage time for the hosts.
