Arsenal academy youngsters Finley Stevens and Nathan Butler have joined schoolboy players from across the Premier League and Bundesliga to record a new version of the song ‘All Together Now.’
The recording is to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War’s Christmas Truce football match, when British and German soldiers left their trenches to play football in sub-zero temperatures in no-man's land near Armentieres, France.
The Gunners pair were part of a sixty-strong group of under-12 footballers to record the song at Parr Street Studios. They will feature in the music video sporting their club colours.
Stevens and Butler are due to play for Arsenal Under-12s in the qualifying round of the Premier League's Christmas Truce Tournament in Ypres later this month.
The tournament, which has been running since 2011, brings young players from England, Germany, Belgium and France together each year to play football in a spirit of peace and reconciliation.
