Benik Afobe played the final 13 minutes of MK Dons' opening-day home victory over Gillingham. The hosts rallied after Cody McDonald and Danny Kedwell had put the the visitors in control, with Kortney Hause's own goal bringing the Dons back into contention just before the break. Will Grigg levelled midway through the second half before Kyle McFadzean and another own goal - this time from Leon Legge - sealed the comeback.

Austin Lipman started and played 70 minutes as his Boreham Wood debut ended with victory over Farnborough. Graeme Montgomery and Lee Angol were on target for Wood.
