Wojciech Szczesny has praised the character Arsenal showed throughout the 2013/14 campaign.
After making a strong start to the season the Gunners' title challenge faded, but they finished on a high by winning the FA Cup and clinching a top-four finish in the Premier League.
"We've been fighting and not a lot of people believed in us at the start of the season," Szczesny told Arsenal Player. "But we stuck together and played very well for most of the season.
"We dropped out of the title race and some point but I think mentally we showed some great strengths"
"I think the character is one thing you cannot question with this team. We dropped out of the title race and some point but I think mentally we showed some great strengths.
"Defensively, except for the three or four games away from home, we were terrific. Also the improvement of the young players, I think Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere when he was fit have shown improvement.
"Laurent Koscielny has been one of the best centre backs in the league and we added some strength with the signing of Mesut [Ozil]. I think for myself, I've had probably my best season so far.
"I think the most positive thing is that there's a lot of improvement and there is still a lot of room for improvement."
