Vivianne Miedema has scooped the December WSL Goal of the Month award for her sensational strike against Everton at Meadow Park.
Last month, our No.11 nabbed three goals in all competitions and her curling effort against the Toffees was the pick of the bunch.
The move began at the back through Lotte Wubben-Moy who spotted Laura Wienroither in an advancing position on the right wing. Wienroither, in turn, picked out the run of Caitlin Foord with a beautifully weighted cross. Our Aussie winger then laid the ball off to Miedema, who characteristically wriggled her way out of traffic and found just enough space to unleash a rocket into the roof of the net.
Miedema's finish was chosen over Leah Galton and Ona Batlle of Manchester United, Sam Kerr of Chelsea, Laura Coombs of Manchester City, Kirsty Hanson of Aston Villa and Hawa Cissoko of West Ham United.
