Two of our loan players were in action for their clubs on Tuesday night.
Scroll down to find out how they fared:
Eddie Nketiah scored a late equaliser for Leeds as they drew 1-1 at Preston.
The hosts went into the lead after 74 minutes with Tom Barkhuizen converted after being set up by Sean Maguire. Nketiah then came off the bench with 13 minutes to play and scored in the closing stages, connecting with a cross from the left wing, courtesy of Josh Harrison. Eddie’s looping header beat Declan Rudd and ensured the points were shared.
Nketiah has now scored five goals in 386 minutes of action for Leeds.
Ben Sheaf was on the scoresheet as Doncaster won 7-1 away at Southend.
The hosts actually took the lead through Isaac Hutchinson’s free-kick in the 11th minute, just minutes after being reduced to 10 men after Ethan Hamilton was shown a red card. Kwame Thomas levelled the scores before Sheaf put Doncaster in front with a deflected volley. Thomas then found the net again in the 53rd minute to make it 3-1, just seconds before Southend saw Stephen McLaughlin sent off for their second red card of the night. Ben Whiteman and Kieran Sadlier both struck to take the score to 5-1, before Alfie May made it six. Nathan Ralph scored an own goal in added time to take the scoreline to 7-1 in Doncaster’s favour.
That is Sheaf's first goal of his loan spell.
