Five of our players have been in action for their respective loan clubs over the past week.

Read on to find out how they performed:

Folarin Balogun stepped off the bench in the 56th minute for Middlesbrough as they faced Coventry on Saturday, and had an instant impact. Within seconds, our young striker sent in an inch-perfect delivery for Andraz Sporar to score from close range for the only goal of the game. It was Balogun's third appearance for Chris Wilder's side since joining on loan earlier this month.

Alex Runarsson featured for O-H Leuven as they drew 1-1 on the road at Waregem in the Belgian First Division last Wednesday. Sory Kaba gave Leuven the lead before Jelle Vossen equalised for the hosts. Our goalkeeper has played eight times for Leuven since joining them in August.

Brooke Norton-Cuffy came on in the 77th minute as Lincoln were beaten at home by Burton on Saturday. The hosts took the lead through John Marquis, before second-half strikes from Joe Powell and Sam Hughes wrapped up the win for Burton. It was Norton-Cuffy's second appearance for the Imps since joining them on loan.

Matt Smith played 87 minutes of Doncaster's 3-1 home defeat by Plymouth on Saturday. The home side took the lead through Branden Horton, but the Pilgrims responded impressively, wrapping up the win courtesy of strikes from  Luke Jephcott, Joe Edwards and Jordan Garrick. Smith has featured 31 times for Doncaster since his summer loan move to the League One club.

Tyreece John-Jules made his Sheffield Wednesday debut on Saturday, stepping off the bench in the 72nd minute as the Owls beat Ipswich 1-0 after Marvin Johnson's early strike.
