Katie McCabe's netsplitting goal against Manchester City has been named our 2022/23 women's Goal of the Season, as voted for by supporters.
Already awarded the WSL Goal of the Season, Katie's winning strike against City beat Frida Maanum's effort against Bayern Munich by just two votes to top our official poll.
The Irish captain bounced back from injury fears to star in our 2-1 comeback win against Man City - a result that would result in us achieving third place in the league. After Frida Maanum drew us level in the second half, Katie picked up a short corner, drove into the penalty area and sent a thumping shot whistling through a crowded six-yard box. The ball soon rippled the net at the back post - far too much for Ellie Roebuck in goal.
