'I've waited a long time for this goal'

Having made the bench for the trip to BATE Borisov in the Europa League, Vlad Dragomir is hoping to push on and earn more opportunities with the first-team.

The Romania under-21 international scored his first goal for the under-23s against Sunderland on Monday night in a 2-0 win, which saw us rise to third in the Premier League 2 table.

Following the game Dragomir spoke with Arsenal Player - and here is what he said:

on the performance…

I think it was a great performance from the team, good play from us and I think we did it well.

on his goal…

I was very happy for that, I was waiting for a long time this goal and I think I can get more in our next games.

on the upcoming Europa League game against Red Star Belgrade…

I’m working hard for that and I was very surprised to be in the first-team squad.

on being involved with the first team…

I don’t know, it’s something great. You can’t believe it, but you’re living a dream, something like this.

on the upcoming game against Spurs…

I think it’s going to be a tough game for us, Tottenham are a good team, but we’re working hard this week and prepared for that game.

on the rivalry between Arsenal and Spurs…

I think there’s going to be a lot of people watching that game and hopefully we will win.
