Viktoria Schnaderbeck’s decision to sign a new contract with Arsenal was an easy one.
Not only is she excited by the club’s philosophy and ambitions on the pitch, but she’s happy with life away from football too.
We spoke to Viki after putting pen to paper - and this is what she said:
on signing a new contract…
I’m truly very happy to finally make it official. It just feels so right to stay with this club with the philosophy, with the staff and players, and it’s both the big picture and the small details that feel right.
on how discussions took place throughout lockdown…
Thankfully the most important conversations and discussions were handled before coronavirus, so it was more the formal things and smaller details that needed to be discussed and clarified during lockdown. It was very important that I had a good feeling at the start of coronavirus when I didn’t have as much to think about.
on her standout memories in north London so far…
My outstanding memories are, of course, winning the league and also more generally having so many special memories with teammates and staff that I will keep forever in my mind. That’s amazing to me, but all the things connected with it too, like my comeback against Liverpool this season. That’s a very important memory to me.
