Four of our players were in action for their respective countries during the latest round of international fixtures.
Read on to find out how they performed:
Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Aaron Ramsdale all started for England in their 10-0 win over San Marino.
Our No10 marked his first senior England start with a goal and an assist, first setting up Harry Kane with a measured cutback after 31 minutes, before getting on the scoresheet midway through the second half, arriving late in the box to fire beyond Elia Benedettini after a Tammy Abraham lay-off
Saka also got in the act, playing a crucial part in England’s second of the night, his strike taking a deflection off Filippo Fabbri and later going down as an own goal. Our forward got a goal of his own in the closing stages, scoring his side’s 10th after finding space well and heading home a Trent Alexander-Arnold cross from close range.
Aaron became England debutant number 1265 and crowned his first senior appearance with a clean sheet as the Three Lions sealed their place at next year’s World Cup.
Kieran Tierney helped keep a clean sheet as Scotland beat Denmark 2-0 in their final World Cup qualifier.
Goals from John Souttar and Che Adams were enough to secure the points and guarantee Scotland a seeded spot in the play-offs, as our left-back replicated his spirited performance from Friday’s win over Moldova.
