How social media reacted to our Conti Cup triumph

Rafaelle and the team celebrate with the Conti Cup trophy

Sunday was a rollercoaster of emotions for our supporters as we staged a big comeback against Chelsea and were crowned Conti Cup champions.

Here's a look at the best tweets from Sunday.

Amongst an array of incredible individual performances, Rafaelle's impact across the pitch certainly didn't go unnoticed. From last-ditch sliding tackles to deny Chelsea's Sam Kerr to playing a key role in our third and final goal, our Brazilian centre-back dazzled the Selhurst Park crowd on Sunday afternoon.

Mere days after picking up her MBE at Buckingham Palace, skipper Kim Little lead our Gunners to victory and our first trophy in four years. Little dominated the midfield with a Player of the Match performance, converted a first-half penalty to put us in front, and the rest was history.

The cameras found Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema in the stands minutes after Chelsea opened the scoring, but what a difference a couple of hours can make in football! Our two forwards, who remain sidelined through injury, joined the lap of honour at full-time as we all celebrated as one.

When the comeback was complete and the final whistle blew, our Gunners finally got their hands on the silverware!

Our wingers Caitlin Foord and Katie McCabe enjoyed a celebratory clink of champagne bottles.

Steph Catley then led the team in a raucous (and tuneful!) rendition of Sweet Caroline...

And all the players and staff got involved in the pitch celebrations, with set-piece coach Patrick Winqvist showing off some acrobatics!

After the dust had settled, Lia Walti was spotted walking out of the tunnel with a coffee in one hand and our new trophy in the other.

Finally, Beth Mead penned a poignant tribute to her late mum, June. Our team have dedicated a number of performances to June's memory this season. This match was no different.
