Help Campbell and Fabregas reach PL Hall of Fame

Sol Campbell celebrates scoring for Arsenal

Sol Campbell and Cesc Fabregas are two of the contenders to be included in the Premier League Hall of Fame, and you can help them gain a place.

Following the news that Ashley Cole is one of the latest inductees, there is now an opportunity for two of his former Gunners teammates to join him in the Class of 2024.

Supporters’ votes will help decide which two players from a shortlist of 15  should also be bestowed the honour, and join the likes of Thierry Henry, Ian Wright, Tony Adams and Arsene Wenger in the exclusive club.

Campbell played 503 times in the division across its first 19 seasons, including two spells with ourselves. He won the league twice during his time with us, in 2001/02 and 2003/04 where he played in 35 of our 38 unbeaten games during our Invincibles campaign. He is one of only 13 players to have surpassed 500 Premier League appearances.

Cesc Fabregas celebrates scoring a goal

Fabregas arrived at the club during that season but the following campaign would be where he would get his first taste of league action. He went on to play 212 times for us in the competition, scoring 35 times, and would later win the competition twice during his time at Chelsea. His 111 Premier League assists put him second on the all-time list behind Ryan Giggs.

The vote is open from now until Monday, April 8, where you can pick two of the following players you deem most deserving of the accolade:

Sol Campbell
Michael Carrick
Andrew Cole
Jermain Defoe
Cesc Fabregas
Les Ferdinand
Robbie Fowler
Eden Hazard
Gary Neville
Michael Owen
David Silva
John Terry
Yaya Toure
Edwin van der Sar
Nemanja Vidic

The two inductees will be decided through a combination of the public vote, in conjunction with votes from the Premier League Awards Panel and those of past inductees into the Hall of Fame.
