Did you know football isn’t the only sport that Rwanda is associated with?

Besides being the official Tourism Partner of Arsenal since 2018, Rwanda is host to many sporting competitions including:

  • The Basketball Africa League Finals, Africa’s premier basketball league at the BK Arena
  • The Ironman 70.3 Triathlon in Rwanda’s Rubavu District
  • International Cricket Council T20 World Cup Qualifiers at the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium
  • The UCL Cycling World Championship in 2025

To celebrate the country's passion for sport, in a four-part series hosted by Anita Jones, Eddie Nketiah, Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard take part in Visit Rwanda’s ‘Home of Sport’ challenge.

 

Episode 1: Chat

The players talk about their favourite sports away from football

  

Episode 2: Basketball

The trio go head-to-head to try to score as many buckets as possible in a basketball arcade game



 

Episode 3: Quiz

The players put their knowledge of sports to the test, each taking turns to articulate a sport that is played in Rwanda without saying its name, while the others try to guess the correct answer

 

Episode 4: Golf

The boys compete in a mini-golf challenge, trying to putt in the fewest shots
