After being named in the starting line-up for tonight’s game against Manchester City, Gabriel will complete a century of Arsenal appearances.
The Brazilian centre-back brings up three figures against the reigning Premier League champions, having made his debut at Fulham on the opening day of the 2020/21 season having arrived from Lille.
He netted in that game, which is the first of 10 goals he has in our colours across his first 99 matches. His best return was last season when he grabbed five, while two more have come this campaign - netting winners against Fulham and Chelsea.
His century will comprise of 80 Premier League games, while he has featured 11 times in the Europa League, six in the League Cup and also has three FA Cup appearances. Tonight will be his 29th appearance of the season so far in all competitions.
Gabriel is the 233rd player in our history to reach the century landmark, and the fifth Brazilian to achieve the feat following on from Gilberto, Denilson and current teammate Gabriel Martinelli.
