Freya Godfrey has joined Charlton Athletic on loan for the 2023/24 season.
The 18-year-old will continue her development at the Barclays Women’s Championship club after signing her first professional contract with Arsenal in June 2023.
Freya – who has been with Arsenal since the age of 12 – spent last season at Ipswich Town on a dual-registration agreement, but was still able to make her first two senior appearances for Arsenal in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Her debut came as a substitute away at Brighton & Hove Albion on 10 May, while a second substitute appearance followed at Everton on 17 May.
