Calum Chambers joins Fulham on loan

Calum Chambers

Calum Chambers has joined Premier League newcomers Fulham on a season-long loan.

The 23-year-old signed a new contract with us last month, having made 82 appearances since joining us from Southampton in summer 2014. 

He enjoyed a season-long loan at Middlesbrough in 2016/17, making 24 Premier League appearances. He is an England international with three caps.
Unai Emery said: “Calum is a talented defender who has a bright future. We all believe this loan at Fulham will be an important part of his development and wish him a successful season.”
The loan is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

David Ospina leaves for Napoli

Goalkeeper David Ospina has joined Serie A side Napoli on a season-long loan.

David joined us from Nice in 2014 after six seasons in Ligue 1, and has made 70 appearances.
He was our goalkeeper in the 2017 Emirates FA Cup final win over Chelsea. He has won two FA Cups and an FA Community Shield during his time with us.
David is a Colombia international with 90 caps. He has represented his country at two FIFA World Cups – in 2014 and 2018.
We would like to wish David the very best for the season.
The loan is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

Joel Campbell joins Frosinone

Joel Campbell has joined Serie A side Frosinone Calcio on a permanent transfer.

The versatile forward joined us from Deportivo Saprissa in August 2011 and made 40 first-team appearances.
Joel also spent time on loan at Lorient, Olympiacos, Vilarreal, Sporting Lisbon and had two spells with Spanish side Real Betis, where he spent the duration of the 2017/18 season.
The 26-year-old is a Costa Rica international with 79 caps and 15 goals for his country. He was part of their squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia where he made two appearances.
We would like to thank Joel for his contribution to the club and wish him well for the future.

Stephy Mavididi signs for Juventus

Stephy Mavididi has signed for Juventus on a permanent transfer. The 20-year-old forward will initially join the Italian side's 'B' team.

Stephy has previously spent time on loan at Preston North End, and also had two spells at Charlton Athletic, where he spent the second half of last season.
He is an England youth international having played up to under-20 level.
We would like to thank Stephy for his contribution to the club and wish him well for the future.

Krystian Bielik joins Charlton on loan

Krystian Bielik has joined League One side Charlton Athletic on loan for the 2018/19 season.

The 20-year-old joined us from Legia Warsaw in January 2015 and made his first-team debut later that year in the League Cup.
Krystian enjoyed a loan spell at Birmingham City last year where he made 10 appearances.
He then joined Walsall on loan in January for the second half of last season but injury saw the defender return to us for treatment. 
Krystian is a Poland youth international having represented his country up to under-19 level.
We would like to wish Krystian well for his loan at Charlton Athletic this season.

Three academy players sign pro contracts

Jordan McEneff, Tobi Omole and Harry Clarke agree their first deals with us

Academy graduates Harry Clarke, Jordan McEneff, and Tobi Omole have signed their first professional contracts.

Harry joined us two years ago from Ipswich Town. Since his arrival, the 17-year-old has featured prominently for our under-18s and he has also made the bench at under-23 level. Initially a midfielder, Harry has made the switch to become a solid defender.

Jordan signed for us at the age of 17. The Irish youth international picked up an injury at the start of last season but has impressed in his seven appearances as an attacking midfielder for our under-18s this year.

Tobi joined us in 2016 after being spotted while playing for Thamesmead Town. The versatile defender has also adapted his position, moving from midfield to centre back.

We would like to congratulate Harry, Jordan and Tobi on their new contracts and wish them well as they continue their development with us.
