Arsenal Diary: What’s in store this week

Women diary

Our men’s first-team will be hard at work in Dubai for warm-weather training this week, while our women’s and academy sides will be in action.

Here’s what to expect on Arsenal.com over the next seven days…

Warm weather training

Our men's first-team head to Dubai on Tuesday for a week-long warm weather training camp. After a busy period, the camp gives Mikel Arteta and his team the chance to re-energise ahead of our next Premier League game against Crystal Palace on January 20.

International round-ups

Tomi Japan

We will bring you the latest updates on Mohamed Elneny (Egypt) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (Japan) during their international duties.

Mo played 90 minutes of Egypt’s 2-0 friendly win on the weekend while Japan are set to face Jordan on Tuesday before the African Cup of Nations and Asian Cup both begin on Sunday.

FRIDAY

Jonas presser.

TBC - Jonas Eidevall press conference

Jonas Eidevall will be back in front of the media at London Colney for his pre-Watford press conference.

It will have been almost an entire month since our last game so Jonas should have plenty to discuss ahead of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup fourth round clash.

We’ll provide a full round-up from the press conference here on Arsenal.com.

Amario goal

7pm - Arsenal U21s v Middlesbrough U21s

Our under-21s side are back at Meadow Park on Friday night to host Middlesbrough in Premier League 2 Division One. We won 2-1 away to Sunderland before Christmas, while Boro drew 2-2 away to Reading. We are fourth in the division, one place and two points ahead of Friday’s opponents.

We will provide a full match report of the game on Arsenal.com as well as post-match reaction from Mehmet Ali and one of his young Gunners.

SATURDAY

Nwaneri

12pm - Arsenal U18s v Reading U18s

The U18 Premier League South gets back under way at London Colney this Saturday with Reading the visitors against our under-18s. We’ll be looking to continue our fine rune of form while Reading are second from bottom in the division.

A full match report will be published on Arsenal.com and there will be post-match reaction from Jack Wilshere and a selected player.

SUNDAY

Lia Leah

1pm - Arsenal Women v Watford Women

It’s not far for either team to travel for this weekend’s FA Cup clash at Meadow Park in Borehamwood.

It’s been a disappointing season for Watford though, who currently sit bottom of the FA Women’s Championship with six points from 12 games, while we’re third in the Barclays Women’s Super League and three points behind leaders Chelsea.

Keep an eye on Arsenal.com for the match report and post-match reaction from Jonas Eidevall and one of his players.
