Mehmet Ali praised his side’s dominant performance as we came from behind to comprehensively beat Leicester City 4-1 at Meadow Park.
A hat-trick from Ethan Nwaneri and a stunner from James Sweet in between ensured we kept up our perfect start to the Premier League 2 season.
“I thought we dominated the game,” said Mehmet. “We were clinical when we needed to be and got our reward for some really impressive passages of attacking play.”
Despite scoring seven goals in our opening two games of the season, Mehmet is still challenging his players to improve on both sides of the pitch.
“When you play for Arsenal, you always have to look at how we can improve and we should have scored more goals.
“Our defensive line could have been a bit more aggressive at times but I’m very happy with the overall performance.”
The under-21s head coach was pleased with Nwaneri’s performance as the 16-year-old netted his first hat-trick at this level.
“I’m really pleased for Ethan, he works really hard and I thought tonight his composure and positioning were brilliant and he got the rewards for it.
“It was three really good goals but massive credit must go to his teammates for providing him with the opportunities.”
