Arsenal Under-18s were held to a goalless draw at Swansea City on Saturday.
The Gunners were unable to convert their chances despite spending a majority of the game on the front foot.
Donyell Malen started for Frans de Kat’s side after he making his debut for the under-19s in the Uefa Youth League four days earlier.
Arsenal robbed Swansea of possession immediately after kick-off and created a chance for Charlie Gilmour, who saw his shot cleared off the line.
Malen then fired a low cross for Aaron Eyoma, but he hit the post from inside the box in the 21st minute.
Brandon Griffiths was thwarted by Ryan Huddart before the break when the goalkeeper was quick off his line to block the striker’s shot.
Substitute Vladimir Dragomir almost gave Arsenal a dramatic winner when he struck the post with a a fierce drive moments from the final whistle.
