Alban Bunjaku's brilliant hat-trick ensured Arsenal's Under-18s took all three points against Portsmouth on Saturday.
Jon Toral, Kristoffer Olsson and Serge Gnabry completed the scoring for Steve Bould's side to secure their fifth win in six Premier Academy League matches.
It was Bunjaku who opened the scoring in the 16th minute of the match, before Toral doubled the advantage 20 minutes later.
Patrick Antemi halved the deficit on the stroke of half time, but Bunjaku restored Arsenal's two-goal cushion immediately after the break.
Jed Wallace ensured Portsmouth would not go out without a fight with just over an hour remaining, but Kris Olsson extended the hosts' lead in the 70th minute.
In a thrilling encounter the scoring was far from over. Substitute Ashley Harris grabbed another for the visitors just two minutes later, but the young Gunners eventually made the points safe in the dying embers.
Bunjaku completed his treble in the 87th minute, before highly-rated German youth international Serge Gnabry hit a sixth in the fifth minute of injury time.
