Arsenal Reserves recorded an emphatic 7-0 victory over Watford 7-0 on Sunday. But they didn't break the deadlock until after half time.
It was striker Reusha Littlejohn who made the initial breakthrough and Ashleigh Goddard, coming on at half time, weighed in with two goals. Her second came from a searing Arsenal attack down the right, culminating in a whipped cross that Goddard finished with her head.
Cally Rowell and Lillie Bilson rounded off the scoring, with Rowell lobbing the Watford keeper from distance and Bilson skipping through the Hornets' defence before burying the ball in the far corner.
Arsenal keeper Sarah Quantrill ensured a clean sheet when she made a point-blank diving save in the last minutes of the game to deny Watford a consolation goal.
