Jonas Rasmussen struck the winner deep into injury time as Arsenal Under-18s staged a second-half comeback to beat Aston Villa 3-2 at London Colney on Saturday.
Having already wrapped up their divisional title, Steve Bould decided to employ some of the young elements in his Arsenal squad. He was rewarded in the 37th minute when Sanchez Watt headed home.
But Villa were ahead by the break. James Collins scored from the spot in the 42 minute and Nathan Baker added another on the stroke of half-time.
Roarie Deacon levelled matters just before the hour and, in the final quarter of the game, both sides went for a winner. Each keeper made crucial saves but Arsenal would find a winner in the final seconds when Rasmussen thumped home from close range.
