Lansbury 18, Rodgers 77
Arsenal Under-18s stretched their unbeaten start to the season
to 17 games after a hard-fought London derby with West Ham United
at Little Heath Sports Ground.
Rhys Murphy and Jay Simpson are usually among the goals in the
Academy League but on this occasion two young Gunners opened their
accounts for the season.
Henri Lansbury, on the bench for the Carling Cup victory at
Liverpool last Tuesday, scored after 18 minutes and Paul Rodgers
grabbed his first goal of the campaign with 13 minutes left to
secure a point for Steve Bould's boys.
After another undefeated weekend in the Academy League all eyes
turn to the FA Youth Cup and Arsenal's Fourth-Round tie at Hull
City on Wednesday night.
