Steve Bould's Under-18s extended their unbeaten start to the
season to 15 games with a hard-fought victory at Norwich's
training ground.
The young Gunners were kept at bay for much of the encounter but
Bould rang the changes during the second half, bringing on Giorgos
Efrem after an hour before introducing Rui Fonte and Fran Merida
with 20 minutes remaining.
The double change paid dividends immediately when Mark Randall
grabbed the only goal of the game a minute after Merida and Fonte
entered the fray. Arsenal held on to register their 13th win of the
Academy League campaign.
Bould's team are four points clear of Chelsea with one game
in hand on their London rivals. The FA Youth Cup takes centre stage
this week but the Under-18s will not play another League game until
they meet Fulham after their winter break on January 6.
