Tom Arnold will always be associated with Coventry City but he did grace the Arsenal shirt for a brief time at the start of the 20th century.
The winger moved from Coventry to London in May 1905 and made back-to-back first-team appearances in September of that year - at Stoke and at home to Bolton.
Arnold had stepped in for James Bellamy but soon lost his place to the same man and the arrival of William Garbutt further limited his opportunities in the League.
Arnold did feature regularly in the South Eastern League though, helping Arsenal's second string to the title in 1906.
He returned to Coventry in 1907 and retired four years later. But his allegiance with the Sky Blues remained and Arnold went on to be their coach and, later, a director.
