John Halls was a member of Arsenal's 2000 FA Youth Cup-winning side but struggled to make an impact in the first team.
The versatile youngster, who played in either defence or midfield, played three times as a substitute in the 2000/01 Worthington Cup campaign.
He made his debut as a half-time substitute in Arsenal's 4-0 win over Manchester United before appearing in the following rounds against Grimsby Town and Blackburn Rovers.
Halls had loan spells at Colchester United, KSK Beveren and Stoke City before joining the latter on a permanent deal in December 2003.
He later played for Reading, Preston North End, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Brentford, Aldershot Town and Wycombe Wanderers.
