Danny Karbassiyoon

Danny Karbassiyoon had a fleeting glimpse of first-team football at Arsenal before his career was cruelly cut short by injury.

The American joined Arsenal in August 2003 after being spotted at a training camp in the United States. At the time he was a striker but, after arriving at Highbury, he was moved to left back.

Danny got his big chance in the Carling Cup at Manchester City in October 2004 and took it with aplomb, smashing home Cesc Fabregas' pass to seal a 2-1 win for a young Gunners side.

He eventually made three first-team appearances but, after a loan spell with Burnley, his career was ended by a knee injury.

Danny is still involved with football and still involved with Arsenal - he currently serves as the Club's North American scout.
