WHAT HAPPENED
Our under-23s were beaten 1-0 by Tottenham Hotspur at London Colney on Saturday.
Harry Clarke and Karl Hein made their first appearances of the season, while 17-year-old Catalin Cirjan featured in midfield.
The visitors came into this fixture off the back of a 3-0 win over West Ham - and they were full of confidence in the first half, with Karl Hein producing two fine saves to deny Rodel Richards and J’Neil Lloyd-Bennett in quick succession.
Tottenham maintained control after the restart too, and soon opened the scoring through Richards, who converted Kazaiah Sterling’s delivery on the hour mark.
We pushed on in search of a late equaliser, but were unable to carve out any golden opportunities.
