WHAT HAPPENED
We slipped to a 1-0 defeat on the road against Leicester City in the Under-18 Premier League on Saturday.
Ken Gillard’s side created a number of promising goalscoring opportunities - but were left to rue their missed chances, as Sidnei Tavares scored a second-half winner.
We kicked things off by playing some free-flowing attacking football, with Catalin Cirjan being denied from close range and Kido Taylor-Hart firing wide after cutting inside from the left.
Miguel Azeez then fired over the bar from inside the six-yard box, before Ollie Ewing rattled the woodwork with a powerful strike from distance.
Sam Greenwood tested Chituru Odunze with a low drive less than 24 hours after signing his first pro contract - but it was the hosts eventually broke the deadlock when Tavaras fired into the top right corner from the edge of the area.
We pushed on in search of an equaliser with Azeez seeing plenty of the ball in the closing stages. However, it was too little too late for our youngsters as they suffered their third defeat of the season.
