WHAT HAPPENED
Our hopes of a securing a top-four place suffered a big blow as we were well-beaten by Wolves on a frustrating evening in the Black Country.
We actually started the match positively, pinning the hosts back into their own half as we pinged around passes with confidence.
But for all our early dominance, it was the hosts who started to get on top and we had a warning when Joao Moutinho curled one just wide from the edge of the area.
Raul Jimenez then poked one over the bar, before Ruben Neves opened the scoring with a dipping free kick from the edge of the area.
Suddenly Molineux was rocking, and while Alex Lacazette created a chance for himself only to fire high and wide, it was Wolves who posed the greater threat.
They doubled their advantage when Matt Doherty took advantage of some slack defending to glance a header past Bernd Leno, before making it three on the stroke of half-time through Diogo Jota.
We dominated possession in the second half as Wolves sat back and prepafred to hit us on the break, and they nearly extended their lead further but Jimenez fired wide when well placed.
Eddie Nketiah came on and nearly created a goal for Lacazette within a couple of minutes, only for Ryan Bennett to poke out a foot to deny the France international.
Sokratis muscled his way through a packed area to head in his third goal of the season with 10 minutes remaining, but there was no dramatic comeback on the cards and it proved to be nothing but a consolation.

WHAT’S NEXT
We travel to Leicester on Sunday for the lunchtime kick off with the pressure firmly on us to secure a win if we are to keep pace in the top-four race.
We beat the Foxes 3-1 at Emirates Stadium back in October, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring one of the goals of the season after finishing off a sweeping team move.
