There was a special treat for care leavers enjoying their Christmas Day at The Arsenal Hub when defender Lotte Wubben-Moy joined us for the annual celebration.
We collaborate with Islington Council and Go Forward Youth to provide lunch for Care Experienced Young People on Christmas Day – a now-traditional festive event that dates back to 2017. Around 25 individuals joined us at The Hub, where they played football, enjoyed other games and had a hot meal.
This year, we were honoured to have one of our own, Lotte Wubben-Moy, join us. “This is a special time of year, and it’s important we support each other and be there for each other,” she said. “Arsenal does so much good work locally, and it was a privilege to be part of this initiative.
“The community is at the heart of everything we do, and it’s so worth it when you see the young people having fun together, playing games, and enjoying their Christmas dinner. We are one big family – we want to ensure that as many people as possible feel the love.”
