Arsenal in the Community Anti-Bullying Week

Arsenal’s commitment to inclusivity was on display during November’s Anti-Bullying Week, when even the youngest members of the club rallied behind the cause. In keeping with tradition, our Under-9s and Under-10s sported quirky and mismatched socks during their training sessions and matches to celebrate individuality and self-expression.

This solidarity was an expression of unity against bullying. The odd socks served as a visual reminder that diversity should be embraced and celebrated both on and off the field – more than just a fashion statement, they were a testament to our dedication to creating a world where diversity is celebrated, kindness prevails and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Support for the anti-bullying initiative extended beyond the players to Arsenal in the Community. Throughout the week, the club’s community outreach arm organised and facilitated anti-bullying workshops in local primary schools to instill values of kindness, empathy and respect, and to help create an environment where everyone feels included and valued.

We also invited children from St Mark’s Primary School to join us at The Arsenal Hub. The youngsters took part in anti-bullying workshops, where they had the opportunity to explore and discuss the significance of kindness and understanding in creating a harmonious environment.

The day didn’t end there, though. The children also took part in football activities that emphasised the values of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play, and as a special highlight they were treated to an exclusive stadium tour to learn more about the club’s history and culture.
