No More Red BSL win UEFA FootbALL awards

We’re delighted to announce that two of our major campaigns have received awards at UEFA’s first-ever FootbALL awards.

Our No More Red campaign, in partnership with adidas, to help reduce knife crime and our project to introduce and integrate British Sign Language into all our Emirates Stadium matchdays were both recognised during the 2023 UEFA Respect forum in Germany.

Launched at the UEFA Champions League final earlier this year, the FootbALL programme aims to utilise the power of football to help spur social change across European communities and supports the idea that our global game is open to all to enjoy, play, learn and develop.

We were selected alongside the Royal Belgian Football Association, DFL Deutsche Fussball Liga and Lilian Thuram by UEFA’s Human Rights Steering Group to be the inaugural recipients of the award.

Arsenal’s chief operations officer, Karen Smart, was on hand in Frankfurt last week to receive the award on behalf of the club. It was an extremely proud moment for us all as she received the trophy from our legendary former Invincibles captain, Patrick Vieira.

Congratulations to everyone who has worked tirelessly to bring these projects to life.
