Supporters raise over £20,000 for food bank

Throughout the 2024/25 season, the generosity of Arsenal supporters meant we were able to make a fantastic contribution to Islington Foodbank.

Across 23 matchdays at Emirates Stadium - covering both men’s and women’s fixtures - supporters donated more than £20,000, alongside 70 crates of food, toiletries and household essentials. These donations are already making a huge difference to people in need across Islington.

Support also came from within the club, with Arsenal staff and Academy players delivering additional crates directly to The Arsenal Hub.

Thanks to the Premier League Fans Fund, we were able to build on this generosity by running supporter tournaments at the Hub, where food donations were collected, as well as delivering wider community initiatives such as spring clean-ups at the Ecology Centre.

This vital work will continue into the 2025/26 season. With continued support from the Fans Fund, foodbank collections will be held before every Arsenal men’s and women’s home game at Emirates Stadium (excluding evening kick-offs after 5.30pm).

A huge thank you goes to the incredible Islington Foodbank volunteers, the Arsenal Independent Supporters’ Association (AISA), the Arsenal Women Supporters’ Club, and all of our supporter groups and individuals who have donated or contributed throughout the season.

Samir Singh, inclusion manager at Arsenal in the Community, said, “Thanks to the Premier League Fans Fund, we have started working much more closely with Arsenal supporters on matchday initiatives like tournaments in the Hub. We’ve raised an incredible amount for Islington Foodbank; food poverty continues to be a real issue in our local community.”

Last season also saw a powerful act of solidarity with Liverpool FC. Ahead of our Premier League fixture at Anfield on 11 May 2025, Arsenal made a significant contribution to Liverpool’s own foodbank collection. Our Managing Director Richard Garlick joined Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan and supporter groups from both clubs at the donation point - returning the generosity Liverpool had shown at Emirates in February 2024.

As we look ahead, our commitment remains clear: together with our supporters, staff and community partners, we will continue to stand alongside those who need it most.

The Premier League Fans Fund provides grants to support football clubs at all levels of the game to strengthen connections between them, their supporters and local communities.
