This season marks five years since we began our No More Red campaign alongside adidas - a long-term commitment to tackling the root causes of youth violence in London.
This year, the journey continues. Together, we are moving the campaign forward with an even stronger focus on putting our local community at the heart of everything we do.
We're proud of what we've achieved together – creating safe spaces, role models, and meaningful connections in the local community.
Since its launch in 2021, No More Red has transformed four football pitches across Islington and Hackney, creating safe spaces for young people to come together and play football.
Across our four pitches:
- We’ve delivered 1,344 sessions, totalling 2,200 hours of organised football activities.
- Over 2,666 members of the community have joined and engaged with our Arsenal in the Community coaches, gaining opportunities to learn, play, and grow.
- We opened our spaces to the local community for an extra 26,000 hours through open access hours, making sure these safe spaces were available all year round.
We also celebrate the role models who inspire positive change in their communities every day. Since 2021, 272 community champions have received a No More Red white shirt, recognising their achievements, resilience in overcoming adversity, and long-term commitment to making a positive impact in their community.
Through meaningful connections, we open doors to new opportunities for young people. Over the first four years of No More Red, a range of projects and experiences has created long term opportunities. Immersive workshops, partner projects, and clear career pathways have supported more than 50 young people into volunteering, education, and employment.
From the NMR Collective in 2022 and the Cambridge Social Action Project in 2023, to the Fashion Project in 2024 and the Music Project in 2025, our programmes continue to grow - helping young people build skills, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging.
Together, we still have work to do but our ambition is unwavering, and our connection with our community has never been stronger. Later this year, the journey will continue with an even greater focus on putting our local community, and the people and partners driving change every day, at the heart of No More Red.
