Supporting Arsenal his whole life, Andre joined us in May 2016 and has excelled during his time both at Hale End and Sobha Realty Training Centre, going on pre-season tour to Singapore and Hong Kong with the first team this summer.

As well as his brother, Brandon, who also came through our academy, Andre’s uncle is British & Irish Lions captain Maro Itoje. The Saracens star has given the attacker a lot of support in his young career and is someone Andre looks up to as he continue his career path.

He said: “I speak to him quite a bit. I think he's in Australia at the moment with Lions, so I've been watching him, keeping in contact with him.

“But he's another great inspiration. Obviously, he's doing at one of the highest levels in another sport. So something I could look up to.”

Andre has also seen the development of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri, playing in the year below the pair through the academy, something which also serves as an incentive for him to break into the first team one day.

As an Arsenal fan, Andre recalls the 2015 FA Cup victory over Aston Villa and watching Alexis Sanchez as some of his favourite memories and after signing his new deal, the exciting youngster is hoping to follow in the footsteps of the legends before him.

“It's a really good day to sign my first professional contract. I'm a fan of Arsenal so it's a dream come true really.

“I want to keep playing in the under-21s, hopefully with England too. I want to go to the under-19 Euros at the end of the season and hopefully, if I keep pushing, I'll be on the bench and make my debut with the first team. Hopefully, I can make that possible.”

The England under-18 international, who netted on his debut in the UEFA Youth League, has already had a taste of playing at Emirates Stadium in the FA Youth Cup against Manchester United last season.

Despite losing the contest, Andre gained invaluable experience from stepping out at N5.

He said: “It was a really good experience because we’re doing the same thing as the first team. So that was a really good experience.

“Obviously, we all wanted to win, but unfortunately, we didn't. But since the morning the day before, just thinking about it, trying to get the win, unfortunately, we didn't. But at the end of the day, amazing experience and something to take on.”
