In our latest episode of Arsenal Explained, we're taking a look back at our final game at Highbury!
On May 7, 2006, we said goodbye to our famous home, and there was plenty on the line as Wigan Athletic visited Highbury for a truly historic occasion.
With a spot in next season's Champions League on the line, we needed to better Tottenham's result at West Ham United to move above our north London rivals and secure fourth spot.
The game swung one way, then the other, eventually resulting in a 4-2 victory, courtesy of a stunning Thierry Henry hat-trick as we pipped our rivals to UCL qualification.
