Meet Hiba

The Ben Kinsella Trust Youth Ambassadors Programme is a youth leadership initiative that inspires young people across London to take a stand against knife crime and drive positive change. Participants receive practical training in areas such as public speaking, media, first aid, and knife-crime education, building the skills and confidence to make their voices heard. Over several months of workshops and mentoring, the Youth Ambassadors work together to plan and deliver an anti-knife-crime campaign that raises awareness, influences local decision-maker, and leaves a lasting impact.

Hiba acted as a Youth Ambassador in Islington during the 2024/25 cycle of the Ben Kinsella Trust’s Youth Ambassador Programme. Through her tireless work, she played a key role in bringing together young people and community leaders to raise awareness, educate and provide a platform for young voices in her community. Hiba has since gone on to support for the Ben Kinsella Trust, working directly with young people through their education programmes.

Meet Farhan

Over several months of workshops and mentoring, the Youth Ambassadors work together to plan and deliver an anti-knife-crime campaign that raises awareness, influences local decision-maker, and leaves a lasting impact.

Farhan acted as a Youth Ambassador in Barking & Dagenham during the 2024/25 cycle of the Ben Kinsella Trust’s Youth Ambassador Programme. He has contributed to national research projects in his role as a Youth Ambassador, organised fundraising events in his local community and was instrumental in raising awareness and education in a special project which brought together young representatives from each secondary school in his local borough.

Meet Simone, Colin, Julia and Demi

No More Red charity partner, Steel Warriors are committed to building a safer and stronger community for young people. At the core of their mission is a dedicated team of coaches who are using the discipline of calisthenics to empower London’s youth. Focusing on areas disproportionately affected by poverty and crime, Steel Warriors gives young people not just a place to train, but a pathway to a better future. In the past year alone, their coaches' unwavering dedication has been phenomenal. They’ve championed female-focused sessions, expanded their reach into schools and community centres, launched a pioneering Health & Fitness career development course, and even established a groundbreaking program within Brixton Prison.

Each coach brings a unique and inspiring story to their work. Demi, a co-founder of the University Calisthenics Association, recently established a popular new teen session in Finsbury Park. Colin, a power and endurance specialist, runs a programme at Brixton Prison which is oversubscribed.

The team’s personal contributions are as impressive as their collective impact. Julia, who came through the Steel Warriors leadership program as a young person, now runs highly sought-after after-school sessions for girls in Tower Hamlets. And at the heart of it all is Simone, Steel Warriors longest-serving coach and a former world champion, who's leadership and mentorship have consistently helped young people find direction through calisthenics. These coaches are more than just instructors; they are genuine role models.

Meet Anthony

Anthony is a dedicated community champion whose outstanding work helps to tackle youth crime in London. As the founder of Majestic Community Care Services, Anthony has created initiatives that support families, engage young people, and reduce knife crime across Croydon. His tireless work focuses on providing hope, interventions, and support for bereaved families, looked-after children, and care leavers, while also prioritising the diversion of potential knife crime perpetrators. For his unwavering commitment, his impact has been widely recognised with local and national awards, including the Price of Croydon Award.
