Kit red-istribution
We have enjoyed some amazing kits during our time with adidas, both playing and training. But have you ever wondered what happens to this clothing when it has been worn by all our players and coaching staff?
We recognise it would be a huge waste of materials, money (and incredible design) to throw the used kit away. That is why this year, following on from many previous years, we have been able to donate kit to some fantastic charities to ensure it can be used and enjoyed again.
Arsenal in the Community have redistributed clothing to several local charity groups for use in various projects across the UK and beyond. We have also been able to donate to an RAF charity, Football to Africa and Beyond, who send sports, and in particular football, clothing to many countries across the world to help encourage participation in sport.
We will continue to send kit to the team who help maintain the Arsenal Forest in Bore, Kenya as well as the men’s and women’s teams we support in the region: the Bore Lions and Bore Lionesses.
And it isn’t just clothing we have been able to donate. Over the last couple of years, we have held boot and trainer collections at the stadium and The Arsenal Hub focused on Earth Day. These donations have continued and we are always thrilled to receive boxes of football boots from our players across all teams and ages that we can pass on to those in the local community.
