Marli Salmon

Gifted centre back Marli joined us at the under-11 level and has progressed steadily ever since. A ball-playing central defender with a love of defending, Marli has already had a taste of playing in N5, turning out in the FA Youth Cup against Manchester United at Emirates Stadium last season.

In July 2025, Marli was called up to our first-team pre-season tour of Singapore and Hong Kong, making him one of our youngest ever tourists at the age of 15. Naming William Saliba as an inspiration, Marli played six times in Premier League 2 in 2024/25, as well as twice in the UEFA Youth League. With his experience on the first team tour in the bank, Marli has cemented his place in our under-21s side despite being just 16 years old.

In December 2025, Marli made his first team debut, coming on as a right-back in our 3-0 win over Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League. A month later, the talented defender featured in our 4-1 win over Portsmouth in the FA Cup.
