Our young Gunners are set to make a return to Meadow Park for the first time in five weeks as we prepare to host Aston Villa in the Premier League 2 on Monday, April 15. Kick-off is set for 7pm.
Currently occupying the fifth position in the standings, we have accumulated a total of 32 points from 17 games. We sit behind Chelsea in fourth place on goal difference, albeit with a game in hand.
In our previous outing, we engaged in an eventful encounter against Stoke City, resulting in a 2-2 draw. Amario Cozier-Duberry opened the scoring for us from the penalty spot, but two quick-fire goals from Dara McGuinness put the Potters ahead. However, Ethan Nwaneri's stunning curled effort ensured we departed the bet365 Stadium with at least a point.
A look at Aston Villa
Aston Villa currently occupies the 19th spot in the league table, having accumulated 19 points from 16 games thus far. The team is experiencing a challenging period, having lost three out of their last four games. Their most recent defeat was a 4-0 loss to Chelsea.
One player to watch out for is Omari Kellyman, who is joint top scorer with seven goals in just 11 Premier League 2 games this season. Kellyman has also made appearances in the UEFA Conference League for Aston Villa's first-team, where he notably provided an assist in Villa's 3-0 victory over Hibernian in August.
Additionally, Kobei Moore is another player worth keeping tabs on, having scored seven goals and provided three assists in 14 league games this season.
How to watch
Admission is free for all supporters at Meadow Park, so there is no need to purchase a ticket in advance. Gates will open an hour before kick-off at 6pm.
We will provide updates throughout the game on our academy Twitter page, and a match report will be published on Arsenal.com after the final whistle.
We will also share post-match interviews with Mehmet Ali and one of his young Gunners, as well as highlights of all the action.
