The London Football Awards took place on Monday evening - with three members of our first-team men’s squad, plus Mikel Arteta, winning their respective categories.

Mikel was named Manager of the Year, Aaron Ramsdale won the Goalkeeper of the Year, Bukayo Saka took home the Young Player of the Year award, with Martin Odegaard receiving the prize for Premier League Player of the Year.

“I’m very honoured to be part of the Willow Foundation with all the incredible work you’ve been doing for 23 years," Mikel said.

"In our job, we have the opportunity to make a lot of people happy and improve their lives. Thanks again for being part of that. I would like to thank you for the award - to all my colleagues, all the staff, everybody at the club who inspires and supports me every single day.”

“I think within the team there would have been a lot of worthy winners," said Martin in his speech. "I just want to share this with the whole team."

"I want to dedicate [my award] to all the children that are growing up in London with big dreams," Bukayo added. "I was once in their shoes and it's always nice to remember that. It always makes winning things like this more special."
