In a breathless first half, Erling Haaland opened the scoring for the hosts before our Italian summer signing marked his full debut with a sensational strike from range. Gabriel then went close with one header from a corner but would not be denied on the next occasion, slamming home from yet another set piece to give us the lead.
Leandro Trossard was shown a second yellow deep into first-half injury time, leaving us to battle with 10 men for the second half. We stood firm until the final moments when John Stones bundled in an equaliser to ensure the spoils were shared.
