Jonas Eidevall has given his assessment of our 1-0 win over Leicester City.
After the final whistle blew at the King Power Stadium, our head coach discussed the performance, squad rotation and our unbelievable away support.
Here is everything he had to say:
on the result…
I’m proud of the performance. It's a tough turnaround coming from Thursday’s performance and result, and we think we used our squad well. We have some really good individual contributions today as well. And most importantly, we got three points.
on the hard work needed to find a breakthrough…
Definitely, effort wise, it's an incredible group. They're doing their absolute best, and we working hard to find a way to win today.
on the importance of rotation during busy periods…
I think it's really important that we use our squad, and I think we can see how much quality we have in the squad in a game today. I mean, you look at the goalkeeper position, I think Manu Zinsberger has been really strong for us in the season start. But then Daphne is coming in today, and both the way she plays out in build up, and she makes some really important saves as well. And maybe that's the difference today between us taking free all the three points, and that's so nice to see.
on the travelling supporters…
Absolutely incredible. And it's what makes it very special to represent Arsenal, the team feels that, we feel the support and that's one of the reasons why we want to work so incredibly hard to be successful, to repay our supporters for all the loyalty and their support.
