Coaching for Life wins Save the Children award

The Arsenal Foundation Coaching for Life award

The Arsenal Foundation’s Coaching for Life programme has received industry recognition at the Save the Children Partnerships Awards at The Shard.

In a highly contested category which included the likes of GSK, Unilever, Prudence Foundation (Prudential) our Coaching for Life programme, which recently turned five, received a Highly Commended Award in the Transformational Partnership Driving Impact for Children category.

Our Arsenal Foundation Director Mairead King was accompanied by Our Head of Community, Freddie Hudson and Drew Tyler, our Save the Children Coach Leader who regularly visits the camp in Za’atari, Jordan.

King said, “The evening was hosted by Natasha Kaplinsky, and when she read out the details of our Coaching for Life programme and the authentic and innovative impact we’re making in Za’atari, Freddie, Drew and I felt extremely proud.

“To be recognised and applauded by some of the biggest and best brands in the world such as Burberry, Lego, Virgin Atlantic, Amazon and American Express really shows the depth and breadth of our work. We were honoured to accept this award for Coaching for Life and The Arsenal Foundation.”

Huge congratulations to everyone at the club who contributes to the work of The Arsenal Foundation and our Coaching for Life Programme.
