John Spicer has agreed to spend another month on loan at Bournemouth.

The Arsenal midfielder was due to return to Highbury on October 10 but will now stay with the Football League One side until November 10.

Spicer has made four appearances for the Cherries. He scored the only goal at Sheffield Wednesday on September 18 and then grabbed an equaliser in extra time before Bournemouth beat Blackburn on penalties at Ewood Park in the Carling Cup.

The 21-year-old became a scholar at Arsenal in the summer of 2000 and signed professional forms a year later. No other player made as many appearances for Arsenal's reserves last season.

Spicer was rewarded for his steady progress at Highbury when he made his first-team debut in the Carling Cup tie with Rotherham last season.

Everyone at Arsenal would like to wish John the best of luck during his extended spell on the South Coast.
