White: "Everyone still believed"

Having seen us edge out Luton Town by the odd goal in seven, Ben White admitted post-match that the belief in the team that they could still snatch it proved to be the difference.

Just as we did in our previous away encounter at Brentford, we found a way to get the three points through sheer dogged determination as Declan Rice popped up with a header with virtually the last touch of the game to snatch it.

And Ben said that even as the game ticked past the sixth minute of stoppage-time, as indicated by the fourth official, he felt his teammates had yet to settle for a draw.

“It was an amazing game for everyone watching at home,” he said. “It was amazing to get it at the last minute, three points is all that matters.

“As many games as we can keep winning it’s going to help us in the end. I think everyone still believed and maybe that’s why we managed to get it at the end.”

Ben managed to get an assist to his name during the game as his cross allowed Gabriel Jesus to score just before half-time, after he linked up well with Bukayo Saka.

“We’re always playing with each other in training, and you know Bukayo is so good so that makes it quite easy for me,” Ben suggested post-match.

He was also delighted for Kai Havertz to get on the scoresheet for the third time in four matches, as he really begins to flourish in an Arsenal shirt: “It’s amazing, such a nice guy and deserves everything he is getting,” our full-back added.
